A large area of Stina's work is based around self portraiture.  The idea of looking different in images appeals greatly to her and she plays with ideas of dressing up or using editing techniques to change the way in which a person looks.

 

Artists that inspire Stina in this particular area are Jo Spence and Cindy Sherman.

 

Stina also photographs family and friends and is passionate about the family album.  She is inspired by theoratitions such as Annette Kuhn and Marianne Hirsch who deconstruct the family photograph.
